Communications Manager, Lead

The Opportunity:

As a proficient communications professional, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and promote an organization's reputation. We're looking for an experienced communications specialist like you who is ready to lead and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you'll share your consulting expertise to oversee the design, development, and production of a variety of internal and external communication materials and media that supports veterans' healthcare.

As a communications specialist on our team, you'll manage the development of creative solutions to complex problems. Your self-guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to facilitate acceptance and understanding of the implementation of new complex IT systems.

As the organizational advisor of all aspects of verbal and written communications, you'll oversee the development of communications strategies for internal and external audiences, including media, products to field staff impacted by system changes, program branding, and senior executive briefings. Your creative-thinking and business-oriented mindset will guide your client to inform key audiences through words, images, and sound with tools like Microsoft Suite and Adobe.

You Have:

  • 15+ years of experience in communications
  • Experience with federal consulting
  • Ability to lead a large team in a dynamic client environment
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Ability to travel to support ad-hoc client engagements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with the Department of Veteran's Affairs
  • Knowledge of electronic health records

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
